Communicating with paws

Hi there I am a mom to 2 months old beagle pup named “Cadbury”…..sounds delicious isn’t it? Well I call him Cady and today he has completed exactly one month with me. Last one month was truly amazing and I felt time flew by giving me bucket full of happy memories. I saw Cady growing up and more than that I got to know him, understand his traits. Definitely it’s going to take more time to understand him fully but I must say that this was a good start.

Take me to your bed — mumma !!

I remember my very first day when Cady refused to eat anything so I rushed to my near by chemist to buy a feeding bottle for him and that also failed as none of my efforts to feed him got successful. But do not give up!!

Today If I tell you Cady is a big time potato chips lover and his big ears are well aware of all sorts of sounds similar to crunch crunch of potato chips. Well it took some time for him to know his new environment. As he has already completed two months I have started working on preparation for his training on basic mannerism. Cady is a quick learner and I think all fur buddies are indeed.

So guys this is to share what I learnt from the dog training video I referred to start his training tomorrow morning which is also his second month birthday. It’s all about communication. When dog bites it is his way to communicate and this is what he knows naturally. This is their way of interacting. But the problem is my human language considers his biting language a bit…haha….very irritating because as the dog grows up their strength also takes a hike.

To make him understand my language I have to first understand his and that’s where training everyday consistently plays an important role. I have to do it daily and preferably at a fixed time. This will help puppy to understand the routine. These few key intakes are really helpful.

🐶 Be very very patient

🐶 Zero expectations

🐶Do training only for 15 minutes

🐶 Start with basic commands- No , sit, stay, pause, come — one at a time

Dogs have a certain level of intellect and they have the capability to reach certain level of human understanding.

Lastly, love is all they need and love is all we need ❤️.

Cheers
